What is e-Shram Portal?

The Ministry of Labor and Employment has prepared the e-Sharm Portal to prepare a database of workers engaged in the unorganized sector. It has been linked to the Aadhar card of the workers. Through this portal, workers can get UAN number by registering themselves. With this number, workers will get direct benefits in many types of registrations and government schemes.

How to get e-shram card made

It is very easy to register on the e-shram portal. You can easily do it by downloading the Umang App on your mobile or through the portal. If you want to register online, then you have to go to the e-shram portal.

Know the steps

  • First of all go to the official portal of e-shram portal.
  • Here you will see the option of Self Registration.
  • Enter your mobile number linked with Aadhaar card.
  • Enter the captcha code and you will be asked below whether you are a member of EPFO/ESIC or not.
  • You have to tick No in both EPFO/ESIC
  • Now you will receive an OTP, enter it and verify it.
  • Now you will be asked for a lot of information. For example, what kind of work you do, educational qualification.
  • Address, married or not, bank details.
  • After filling all these details you can download your e-shram card.

Eligibility for e-Shram Portal

1. The age of the applicant on the e-shram portal should be between 18 to 59 years.

2. The applicant is associated with the unorganized sector, meaning he does not have any permanent job.

3. The applicant’s PF is not deducted. The applicant should not be a member of ESIC.

4. The applicant should not be in any kind of government job.
