What is the whole process?

To renew your driving licence, first you will have to visit the ‘Parivahan’ website.

After going here you will have to select the state, but right now we will give you information about Delhi.

After selecting the state, you will have to click on the option of service related to driving license.

Here you will see the option of DL renewal. As soon as you click on this option, a new window will open in front of you.

The application form will be in front of you in the new window. You have to keep many things in mind while filling this form.

After filling the form you will also have to collect all the documents.

After completing all the things you have to pay the fees.

After paying the fees, you will see the option to download the receipt.

You will have to go to the nearest RTO on the scheduled date.

This is where you will have to submit your original documents and fee slip.

RTO will verify all the documents and if found correct, a new DL will be issued to you.

Passport size photo and original driving license

You can also do E-Verification with the help of Aadhar card.

For how long is the license renewed?

Driving licence for private motor vehicle can be renewed for 5 years.

Whereas the driving license for commercial vehicles can be renewed for 3 years.
