CM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana: Good news for farmer’s. On Saturday, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma transferred the fourth installment of Rs 718 crore to the accounts of about 7.2 million farmers under the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. This amount was given to the farmers at a state-level function held in Nadbai, Bharatpur district. From the stage, the CM described the farmers as “nation builders,” saying that the country’s food is incomplete without their hard work.

At the event, CM Sharma stated that farmers are the soul of India. He added, “If our farmers prosper, the country and the state will also develop. Therefore, the state’s ‘double engine’ government is working day and night for the prosperity of farmers.” The Chief Minister explained that while the central government provides Rs 6,000 annually under Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘s Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the Rajasthan government is providing an additional Rs 3,000 to farmers. This means farmers are receiving a total of Rs 9,000 annually.

Bhajanlal Sharma stated that over 7 million farmers have received Rs 1,355 crore under this state government scheme so far. When combined, the total amount provided to farmers through both central and state schemes is Rs 8,386 crore. He described this as a “record amount.”

The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister ‘s “Dhanya Krishi Yojana” is leading to major changes in the agricultural sector. He pointed out that eight districts of Rajasthan—Barmer, Jaisalmer , Nagaur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Pali, Jalore, and Churu—are among the 100 districts selected nationwide for outstanding performance under this scheme.
