Bullet Train India– Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given good news about the bullet train. He said on Sunday that India’s first bullet train service will start very soon and with this one can reach Ahmedabad from Mumbai in just two hours and seven minutes.

The Union minister was at Bhavnagar Terminus, from where he flagged off Ayodhya Express, Rewa-Pune Express and Jabalpur-Raipur Express digitally. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai inaugurated the train services on the occasion.

Vaishnav said, “The first bullet train from Mumbai to Ahmedabad will start very soon and work on this project is going on at a fast pace. With its launch, the journey from Mumbai to Ahmedabad will take only two hours and seven minutes.”

India’s first bullet train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad will cover a distance of 508 km. It will start from Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) area and connect Gujarat’s Vapi, Surat, Anand, Vadodara and Ahmedabad at a high speed of 320 kmph.

Earlier on Wednesday, he had said that the Gujarat part of the bullet train corridor between Vapi and Sabarmati is planned to be completed by December 2027 and the entire project from Maharashtra to Sabarmati section is expected to be completed by December 2029. He gave this information in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday.

Vaishnav said the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR) project (508 km) is under construction with technical and financial assistance from Japan. He said the project will pass through Gujarat, Maharashtra and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and is planned to have stoppages at 12 stations in Mumbai, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad and Sabarmati.
