Budget 2026 Update: The central government has completed its preparations for presenting Budget 2026. The country’s budget will be presented in the Lok Sabha tomorrow, February 1st (Sunday). This is the first time in the history of independent India that the Union Budget is being presented on a Sunday.

In this full budget, the annual amount under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme may be increased. This could provide a huge benefit to farmers. However, no official statement has been made yet regarding the exact amount of the increase.
How much could the amount increase?
The central government may increase the annual amount of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme to Rs 9,000. If the government makes this announcement, the instalment amount will increase from Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000. The annual amount of Rs 9,000 will be provided in three instalments of Rs 3,000 each.
Small and marginal farmers have been continuously benefiting from the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. All eyes will be on Nirmala Sitharaman’s budget speech on February 1st. If the central government makes this announcement, the year 2026 will prove to be a great boon.
When will the budget be presented?
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will begin her budget speech at 11 AM on Sunday. In it, she will present the roadmap for the coming year to the country. When will the 22nd instalment be released?
The 22nd instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme may be released by February 28, 2026. This instalment will only be disbursed to farmers who complete tasks such as e-KYC and land verification. If these tasks are not completed, the instalment payment will be withheld. You can check the status of your instalment on the official website to avoid any confusion.
