KCC: Good news for Indian Farmers. The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, offers Kisan Credit Cards to promote farming, fisheries, and animal husbandry, and to provide financial assistance to farmers. Often, due to lack of funds, farmers are unable to sow their crops on time. This impacts crop production, and sometimes, farmers’ fields remain fallow for entire seasons. This creates difficulties for their families in making ends meet.
