There is a big good news for the passengers of Karnataka. The Vande Bharat Express from Bengaluru to Belgaum was awaited for a long time, but now this train is going to run on this route. The Railway Ministry has approved the extension of this service so that it can run between the Kittur Karnataka region and the capital of Karnataka. This will be a comfortable and fast travel experience for the passengers.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav approved
Minister of the State for Railways and Minister of Jal Shakti V. Somanna has already confirmed this decision and said that Railway Minister Ashwini Vaidya has approved this proposal. Behind this decision was the strong lobbying of regional representatives, including MP Jagdish Sher and Rajya Sabha member Iranna Kadadi, led by Union Minister Prahlad Joshi. In March, this delegation previously met the Railway Minister in Delhi and also demanded to connect Belgaum with the new Vande Bharat network. This is the result of their continuous efforts.
Now the dream will come true
Till now the Vande Bharat Express runs from the Bengaluru to Hubli via Dharwad railway station. But with this new extension, the train will now leave from Belgaum in the morning. However, the date of its formal inauguration has not been announced yet.
According to railway officials, this move was a long-standing demand of the public and now it is being implemented. V. Somanna said, “This will make it very easy and convenient for the people of the Kittur and Karnataka region to travel to the Bengaluru, whether it is for work, studies or the business.” This will save time and energy for the passengers.

After this new extension plan, Bengaluru will now be also connected to the seven cities through new Vande Bharat Express. Vande Bharat will be run from Mysore, Chennai, Ernakulam, Hyderabad, Dharwad, Coimbatore and now Belgaum too. This will boost connectivity and will be helpful in regional development.
