Banks Closed on December 3, Full List of States Where RBI Declared a Holiday

Bank Holiday: With the beginning of December, several states across the country have begun observing bank holidays. According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) calendar, bank branches will be closed for a total of 12 days in December 2025. Banks will be closed for six days due to their weekly holidays. Banks will remain closed in Meghalaya on the martyrdom day of Pa Togan Nengminja Sangma, a brave freedom fighter of the Garo community.

Banks closed in Meghalaya on the death anniversary of Khasi poet U Soso Tham.

December 19 (Friday)

Banking services will remain suspended in Goa on Goa Liberation Day.

December 20 and 22 (Saturday and Monday)

Banks will remain closed in Sikkim due to Losoong/Namsung festival.

December 21 (Sunday)

Regular weekly holiday on Sunday.

December 24 (Wednesday)

Christmas Eve holiday in Nagaland, Meghalaya and Mizoram.

December 25 (Thursday)

Banks closed across India on Christmas.

December 26 (Friday)

Banks will remain closed for four consecutive days in these three northeastern states, even after Christmas.

December 30 (Tuesday)

Banks closed in Meghalaya on the death anniversary of freedom fighter U Kyang Nangbah.

December 31 (Wednesday)

Banks will remain closed in Mizoram and Manipur on account of New Year’s Eve and Imoinu Iratpa festival.
