Week: A new week begins from yesterday, Monday, June 8th. If you need to visit the bank to complete any business, you should first know the bank’s closures this week, according to the Reserve Bank of India’s holiday list. It’s important to avoid taking your precious time to visit a branch only to find the gate locked.

Banks will remain closed for so many days from 8th to 14th June

According to the RBI calendar, there are no major public holidays across the country this week (Monday through Friday) that would require banks to declare a holiday. However, banks will remain closed on the weekend.

June 7 (yesterday) – Banks were closed across the country as it was Sunday.

June 13 – This is the second Saturday of the month; hence there will be no banking work.

June 14 – Banks will remain closed due to Sunday holiday.

Upcoming bank holidays

In addition to the weekend, banks will be closed on several other days in June. On June 15th, banks will not operate in Mizoram (YMA Day) and Odisha (Raja Sankranti). Following that, on June 25th and 26th, banks will be closed for Muharram in major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. Guru Kabir Jayanti will be observed on June 29th, leading to bank closures in Shimla for this occasion.

Likewise, banks in Aizawl will be closed on June 30th for Remna Ni. This day commemorates the peace agreement signed between the Government of India and the Mizo National Front (MNF) on June 30th, 1986. As a result of this agreement, Mizoram achieved full statehood on February 20th, 1987. This date is of great importance in the history of Mizoram.

Online services will continue

The good news is that even though branches will be closed, online services will remain available without any interruptions. UPI, NEFT, and RTGS services will function as usual. This allows you to check your balance, pay bills, and transfer money online from the comfort of your home. Additionally, ATMs will still be accessible for cash withdrawals. Please keep in mind that these services might occasionally experience temporary disruptions due to technical maintenance.
