Why is a biometric update needed?
According to UIDAI, after the age of 5 years, it is necessary to update the fingerprint and iris scan in the Aadhaar of children. If the biometric update is not done on time, then the Aadhaar number of the child can also be deactivated. UIDAI rules are very strict. In this, a biometric update facility is available free of cost in the age group of 5 to 7 years. If your child is more than 7 years old, then you will have to pay a fee of Rs. 100.
How will the biometric update happen?

This process will be done with the consent of the parents. The most important thing is that children will be able to get this service easily in the school itself.
Biometric machines will be provided in schools by the government. These will go from one school to another. This will provide this facility to more and more children. Currently, testing work is being done on this technology. This project can be implemented in a phased manner within the next one and a half to two months.
