Bank Holiday Week: If you have any important banking work to do this week, be sure to check the list of bank holidays before leaving home. According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar, banks across the country may remain closed for up to three days this week. This includes all public and private banks, including SBI, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and Punjab National Bank (PNB).

All bank branches nationwide will be closed on Sunday, July 19th, as they observe a weekly closure for public transactions. Additionally, on Wednesday, July 22nd, banks in Tripura will be closed for Kharchi Puja. Furthermore, bank branches across the country will also be closed on July 25th, which is the fourth Saturday of the month. Therefore, if you reside in a state where July 22nd is a holiday, your bank branch could be closed for three consecutive days this week.

Bank operations will continue

The temporary closure of bank branches does not imply that all banking services will cease. Customers can still utilize UPI, internet banking, mobile banking, and ATMs as they normally would. Most services, including money transfers, bill payments, balance inquiries, online transactions, and cash withdrawals, will remain accessible as usual.

As per RBI guidelines, all banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. Additionally, banks are closed every Sunday. Therefore, customers are encouraged to complete any check deposits, drafts, passbook updates, or other essential branch-related activities ahead of the holiday.

No holidays next week

There are no designated bank holidays in any state until August 1st, aside from July 26th (Sunday) next week. On regular days, banks operate from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, although some branch hours may vary slightly based on local conditions. If you require banking services during holidays, the bank’s mobile app, internet banking, UPI, and ATMs will be available 24/7. However, please note that some digital services may occasionally be temporarily unavailable due to system maintenance, and banks will notify their customers in advance in such cases.
