A union representing coal mine workers expressed concerns that rumors may have played a role in the explosion and called for accountability for those responsible. The Pakistan Central Mines Labor Federation urged the government to enforce safety regulations rigorously and take strict measures against companies that violate mine safety standards. Rescue teams are encountering significant challenges due to the depth of the mine and the risk of toxic gases. Efforts are ongoing to safely recover the missing miners.
