Tata Sierra EV : The era of electric vehicles is growing rapidly in India and now Tata Motors is also going to enter this race more strongly with its new model. The company has decided to introduce its iconic model Sierra once again, but this time its electric avatar will be brought to the market. This SUV will compete directly with cars like Hyundai Creta EV and Maruti e Vitara.
Launch and first look
The Tata Sierra EV was first showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. At that time it was introduced as a pre-production model and since then it has been in the headlines. It is expected that the company will launch it in the market by the end of 2025. Its booking can start around Diwali 2025 during the festive season and delivery will also start by the end of the year.
Design and Features
The biggest attraction of the Sierra EV is its triple screen setup. It has a digital display for the driver, an infotainment screen in the middle and a separate display for the passenger. Apart from this, it will have premium features like panoramic sunroof, heads-up display, dashcam, ventilated seats and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The company is preparing to bring it in many variants. Apart from its 6-seater and 7-seater versions, a special lounge edition will also come in which there will be only 4 seats and sofa-style seating will be given at the back. Luxury features like foldable table, charging port and screen will also be seen in it.

Safety and technology
Sierra EV will also be very strong in terms of safety. It will have features like Level-2 ADAS, 6 airbags, 360-degree camera, hill hold assist, ESP and TPMS. Apart from this, it will also have new charging technology like V2L (vehicle-to-load) and V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle), so that this car will not only charge itself but will also be able to charge other vehicles or devices if needed.
Battery and range
Sierra EV has been designed on the Acti.ev platform, which is specially designed for electric vehicles. It can get 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery packs. It is believed that its range will be more than 500 kilometers, which will make it reliable even for long journeys. The company can also provide AWD (all-wheel drive) system in it, which will make it even more powerful.
