Features

If you’re wondering what you get for this price, you’ll be pleased to know that Tata has spared no effort in equipping the new Sierra with features. It boasts several firsts for Tata. The most striking feature is the triple-screen layout. This means you’ll have a digital driver display, a large infotainment screen, and a passenger display.

Additionally, you’ll also get a 12-speaker JBL sound system with a soundbar, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and a stunning panoramic sunroof. However, lower variants only offer dual displays. In terms of safety, the Sierra will be equipped with multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, and a Level 2 ADAS system, making driving even safer.

Power and Performance

The Tata Sierra will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol option will feature the brand’s new 1.5-liter TGDi turbo-petrol engine, producing 170 PS of power and 280 Nm of torque. This engine will undoubtedly give the Sierra some impressive performance. Diesel enthusiasts will also find the same 1.5-liter diesel engine found in the Nexon and Curve, producing 118 PS of power and 260 Nm of torque. Both engine options can be paired with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. Initially, the SUV will only be available in front-wheel drive.

Competitors

The Sierra will face tough competition in the market it’s entering. It will face strong competition from the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, and Honda Elevate. It will also face competition from its own family, the Tata Curve and Citroen Basalt. But the Sierra’s unique design and rich features could set it apart from the competition. Will the Sierra be able to replace the Creta? Only time will tell.
