Mercedes-Benz E Class:Mercedes-Benz India has launched a significant price revision of its best-selling E-Class sedan. Owing to the GST 2.0 overhaul, the luxury sedan is now available at a lower price by as much as Rs 6 lakh. The step increases the attractiveness of the premium model to buyers seeking a combination of comfort, technology, and brand prestige. With the new price comes a new Verde Silver colour option for all its E-Class variants.
New Price Post GST 2.0 Implementation
The E-Class Long Wheelbase was previously priced between Rs 83 lakh and Rs 96.9 lakh (ex-showroom). With the GST revision, customers can now save as much as Rs 6 lakh, pricing it closer to Rs 91 lakh for certain trims. The cut is applicable not just for the E-Class but also for the GLE 450, which has been given the same Rs 6 lakh price reduction. Its new effective ex-showroom price is now Rs 1.07 crore.

Variants On Offer
Celebrating the first anniversary of the E-Class LWB, Mercedes-Benz has introduced the fresh new Verde Silver colour in the sedan’s range. The colour is on offer with all three variants – the E200, E220d, and the E450. The addition brings in additional choice for buyers who desire a unique appearance without having to trade off on performance and luxury features.
Luxury Features Inside the E-Class
Inside, the E-Class still maintains a luxurious interior packed with advanced technology. It features a three-screen arrangement comprising a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 14.4-inch infotainment screen, and a second 12.3-inch display for more functions. The sedan also features wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 64-colour ambient lighting, four-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and a 17-speaker Burmester sound system.

Engine Options Across the Range
The Mercedes-Benz E200 model is driven by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that churns out 204 hp. The E220d model is driven by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that churns out 197 hp. The most potent variant in the lot, the E450 AMG, has a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine coupled to a 48V mild-hybrid system. The combination is good for a whopping 381 hp, making it the performance-oriented variant in the range.
