India’s most affordable car, the Maruti Alto K10, is now more affordable than ever. Following a GST rate cut, its price starts at just ₹3.70 lakh. According to Maruti Suzuki, this hatchback has received a significant price cut of up to ₹1.08 lakh. The car is available in both petrol and CNG options, and under the new regulations, it will now attract only 18% GST.

This price cut on the Maruti Alto K10 is a significant gift to customers ahead of the festive season. The car’s starting price, which was previously ₹4.23 lakh, has now been reduced to ₹3.70 lakh. Savings on the Alto K10 range from ₹40,000 to ₹1.08 lakh, making it one of the most affordable cars in the country.
Stunning Design and Modern Features
The Alto K10 may be small in size, but its design is quite modern and sporty. It features a honeycomb grille at the front, redesigned headlamps, and LED DRLs. The interior features a 7-inch SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system that supports smartphone connectivity, navigation, and voice control. It also comes with the option of AGS (Auto Gear Shift), which makes driving in city traffic a breeze.
Powerful Engine and Excellent Mileage
The Alto K10 is powered by a 998cc, 3-cylinder K10C petrol engine that produces 69 PS of power and 91 Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AGS automatic transmission. The CNG variant also features the same 998cc engine, but produces 57 PS of power and 82 Nm of torque.
The Alto K10 is unbeatable in terms of mileage. Its petrol model delivers an ARAI-rated mileage of 24.4 to 24.9 kmpl, while the CNG model delivers an impressive 33.8 kmpl, making it the most economical in its segment.
Strong Safety Features
For safety, the new Alto K10 now comes standard with six airbags. Additionally, it also comes with features like ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with EBD, rear reverse parking sensors, front disc brakes, and rear drum brakes. Basic safety features like collapsible steering and side impact beams are also available.
