The Mahindra Bolero Neo, one of India’s most reliable SUVs, is set to enter the Indian market in a new and updated avatar. The vehicle has been spotted testing several times, revealing key details about its design and features. This new model will be more stylish and technologically advanced than the current Bolero Neo, making it a strong competitor in its segment.

Design and Interior

The new Bolero Neo will feature some key design changes. It will feature a new front grille with more slats, and the alloy wheels will also be redesigned. However, its signature design, including its upright body structure, headlights, fog lamp assembly, and rear taillamps, will remain the same as the current model. The tailgate-mounted spare wheel and high-mounted stoplight will also remain.

In terms of interiors, several major changes are expected inside the cabin. The biggest highlight of the 2025 Mahindra Bolero Neo will be its larger 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Additionally, it is expected to feature modern features like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated seats, automatic climate control, a wireless charging pad, and a Keyless Go system with push-button start.

Engine and Performance

In terms of the engine, the new Mahindra Bolero Neo is expected to feature no major changes. The SUV will continue to come with the existing 1.5-liter, 3-cylinder mHawk 100 turbo diesel engine. This engine produces 100 bhp of maximum power and 260 Nm of torque, making it ideal for both off-road and city use.

This engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. However, given the growing demand for automatic transmissions, Mahindra may also offer an AMT gearbox option in this updated model. It will remain available in RWD (rear-wheel drive) and 4X2 configurations.

The next-generation Bolero Neo could arrive in 2026

Mahindra & Mahindra has also confirmed that the new-generation Bolero and Bolero EV will be launched in 2026. The new Bolero will be based on the company’s new NU_IQ platform. This model will be completely new in terms of design, interior, and features. Currently, the Bolero Neo is priced between ₹9.97 lakh and ₹12.18 lakh, and the price of the new facelifted model is expected to increase slightly depending on its new features.
