The great news is that despite the new avatar and the absolutely stunning look, the company hasn’t increased its prices by even a single rupee. With this latest update, which will be released in March 2026, KTM is now fully prepared to challenge the reign of the Yamaha R15 V4.
KTM RC 160 New Colors
KTM has revitalized its entry-level sports bike by adding two bold color options that give it a premium super sports feel. The first is ‘Electronic Orange Matte,’ KTM’s signature color, featuring an orange base with black graphics and black alloy wheels, and the frame is also orange. The second option, ‘Ceramic White Matte,’ will appeal to riders who want a clean, modern, sporty look. It features black and orange graphics with a white base and bright orange wheels.
Powerful Engine and Performance
The KTM RC 160 not only looks sharp but also packs a powerful punch. Its 164.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine is known for its class-leading performance. This engine produces a maximum power of 18.73 bhp and a peak torque of 15.5 Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox for smooth shifting. It also features a slipper clutch that prevents the rear tire from locking up during aggressive downshifts, and its agility on the road makes it a perfect track-friendly machine.
Safety and Advanced Features
KTM has designed the RC 160 to be like a major superbike in terms of safety, including a massive 320mm disc brake at the front. Dual-channel ABS is standard for safety, and another major USP is its ‘Supermoto Mode,’ which allows you to disengage the rear ABS if needed and enjoy slides like a professional rider. Suspension is handled by premium 37mm USD (upside-down) forks at the front, which keep the bike stable even at high speeds and provide complete confidence when cornering.
Smart Connectivity and Premium Design
The RC 160 features a fully LED lighting setup, including a sharp LED headlight and attractive taillamps, which make it stand out even at night. Its instrument cluster features an LCD display with Bluetooth and navigation support, allowing you to connect your smartphone for turn-by-turn navigation.
While this variant lacks a TFT display and quickshifter, its other features more than make up for it in a budget of less than ₹2 lakh. Its clip-on handlebars give the rider an aggressive and racing posture, giving it the feel of a true sports bike.

Even with the new colors, the KTM RC 160’s ex-showroom price remains unchanged at ₹1.85 lakh, making it a very value-for-money option in its category. On-road pricing may vary slightly depending on taxes and insurance in different cities. The bike has already begun arriving in showrooms across the country, and compared to the Yamaha R15, it’s ideal for those seeking more raw power and the aggressive handling of a KTM.
