It’s not about going electric—it’s about making electric convenient and thrilling for all. Let’s see what this new 7-seater has to offer.

Kia Clavis EV

Kia Clavis EV is now open for reservation from 22 July 2025. It is Kia’s first Made-in-India electric vehicle and India’s most budget-friendly 7-seater EV at present. It is designed for daily use in the city as well as family road trips. The Clavis EV is intended to redefine practicality with its stylish yet distinct combination of premium styling and space.

Battery Range Options

Clavis EV has two battery options. One is a 42kWh pack with an officially certified range of 404 km. The other one is a 51.4kWh battery with a full charge capability of up to 490 km. Real-world range is variable but on test drives, the car traveled around 410 km, so it is a good performer in the class.

Charging Time

With a 100kW DC fast charger, Clavis EV takes only 39 minutes from 10% to 80% charge. The battery is IP67 rated, which means it’s dust- and water-proof—perfect for Indian weather. During rainy days or long road trips, this EV remains reliable and safe.

ADAS and Safety

Safety is a robust aspect with ADAS Level 2 technology on board. It features such as lane keep assist, smart cruise control, and driver attention warning. These ensure highway driving is safer and less tiring on long trips. Clavis EV doesn’t only do; it guards.

Real-World Range Test

On a day-long test on city roads and highways, Clavis EV held 410 km of range, even when in sports mode and testing regenerative braking. After 150 km, the battery still had 58% charge remaining. Regenerative braking in auto mode felt smooth and contributed towards overall efficiency.
