It has a length of 4395mm, a width of 1735mm and a height of 1690mm, while the wheelbase is 2740mm. That is, the Ertiga is slightly larger in size, while the design of the Carens seems more premium.

Engine

Now let’s talk about its engine, the Maruti Ertiga CNG has a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder naturally aspirated engine, which generates 102bhp of power and 136Nm of torque. It comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Its petrol mileage is up to 20.51 km / l and CNG up to 26.11 km / kg.

On the other hand, the Kia Carens CNG also gets a 1.5-liter NA petrol engine, which gives 113bhp power and 144Nm torque. It has also been connected to a 5-speed manual transmission. Although the company has not yet reported its CNG mileage official, it is estimated that it may go up to around 17-18 km / kg.

Features

Maruti has recently updated its Ertiga. It now has second-row AC vents delivered on the center console, making airflow more practical. The third row also has blower control and separate vents. The new Ertiga features a USB Type-C port, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Arcamis sound system and color TFT instrument cluster.

At the same time, Kia Carens offers a luxury touch to CNG. Its HTX E trim features features such as panoramic sunroof, 64-color ambient lighting, leather upholstery, air purifier, tilt and telescopic steering, voice-operated windows, LED interior lights and retractable seatback tables.

Speaking of price, Maruti Ertiga CNG comes in two variants – VXI (O) and ZXI (O). Its prices are ₹10.76 lakhs and ₹11.82 lakhs (ex-showroom). At the same time, Kia Carens CNG is available in four variants, with an initial X-showroom price of ₹11.77 lakhs. That is, Ertiga is a bit affordable, while Carens is a bit expensive due to features and premium touch.
