Hyundai Verna Set to Make a Comeback with LED DRLs and Ventilated Seats

Hyundai Verna: Hyundai Verna is a well-known name in India for sedan enthusiasts for a long time. The company is now gearing up to introduce the new version of this successful car. Recently, the facelifted Verna was caught testing for the first time in Ooty. The first look provides a good idea of the cosmetic and feature updates customers will get in the new model.

Exterior Design Tweaks

From the spy images of the Hyundai Verna facelift, it seems that the new model will carry forward the majority of the features of the existing car. Nevertheless, minor tweaks in the rear and front bumpers give a glimpse into a modest nip-and-tuck approach. The LED DRL bar integrated with LED headlights is expected to stay. Some of the updates on the front bumper could involve a new look, and fog lamps could be ditched altogether. Alloy wheels appear to align with the present generation, indicative of little change on that front.

Interior and Cabin Improvements

Hyundai can offer a number of changes within the Verna facelift. These are a bigger touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated front and rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, and reclining rear seats. The facelifted model could also have a rear wireless phone charger and rear sunshades. These features indicate a comfort-driven upgrade to improve in-cabin experience for users.

No Changes in Powertrain

Mechanically, the 2026 Verna facelift is expected to continue with the existing 1.5L engine. This decision underlines Hyundai’s confidence in the current engine’s performance and efficiency. Since no changes are expected in the powertrain, performance enthusiasts can expect similar output and fuel efficiency figures as the current model.

With heightened competition from other mid-size sedans, the visual update and feature enhancements are set to infuse the model with a much-needed revival in the market. Although the company has not issued any official statements, the testing process suggests that the facelifted Verna can release sometime around 2026. Since spy photos have already appeared, it is possible that Hyundai can provide further information in the near future or even at a grand auto expo.
