LPG Cylinders at Rs 300 Discount, Big Relief for Crores of People

LPG Price: The ongoing conflict between Iran and the United States has created a climate of anxiety in the country concerning LPG gas. The government continues to assert that everything is under control. In the meantime, the cost of LPG cylinders has risen. However, a significant portion of the population is still able to obtain LPG cylinders for Rs 300 less.

Who qualifies for the discounted gas cylinder?

Beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) are granted a subsidy of Rs 300. This effectively means that LPG cylinders will be priced Rs 300 lower than what the average consumer pays. Those eligible receive an LPG connection without needing to pay a security deposit or installation fees.
