The Honda Activa, which has dominated the Indian scooter market for decades, is now about to receive its next-generation version. If you’ve been waiting to buy a new Activa, this news is for you. The Honda Activa 7G is set for a grand launch in India in January 2026.
This new scooter will arrive at an estimated price of ₹80,000 to ₹90,000, featuring several new upgrades and attractive styling. Learn about the special features of the Activa 7G and how it will compete with rivals like the TVS Jupiter and Hero Pleasure + Xtec.
Activa 7G Launch Date and Expected Price

Indian customers have been eagerly awaiting the Honda Activa 7G for a long time. Honda Cars India is expected to launch the updated version of this best-selling scooter in January 2026. The Activa 7G is expected to have a starting ex-showroom price between ₹80,000 and ₹90,000.
This price will be slightly higher than the Activa 6G, which is reasonable considering its new features and technology. Upon launch, the Activa 7G will compete directly with existing models like the TVS Jupiter, Hero Pleasure+ Xtec, and PURE EV ePluto 7G. It will also pose a strong challenge to the TVS Jupiter CNG, which is scheduled to launch in October 2025.
The Activa 7G will feature these key upgrades
The Honda Activa 7G will be an updated and refined version of the current-generation Activa 6G 110cc scooter. The company is expected to feature several significant upgrades compared to the current model. In terms of design, the Activa 7G may retain the basic design of the existing 6G model. However, Honda may make minor but significant changes to it.
The body panels could be slightly updated and premium chrome elements added to enhance its appeal. Currently, the Activa 6G is available in six color options—blue, red, yellow, black, white, and gray. The Activa 7G is also expected to come in several attractive colors and a limited edition model.
Engine, Power, and Mileage

Mechanical specifications are likely to remain unchanged for the Activa 7G. It is expected to retain the 109cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, as it already complies with the latest emission norms. This motor produces 7.6 bhp and 8.8 Nm of peak torque in the Activa 6G. We expect similar figures in the Activa 7G, making it reliable and efficient.
Due to the engine similarity, the fuel economy (mileage) of the Activa 7G should remain similar to that of the Activa 6G. The current scooter offers a mileage of around 45-50 km/h. With a fuel tank capacity of 5.3 liters, the Activa 6G can deliver a range of approximately 250 km, and the Activa 7G is expected to offer a similar range. The Honda Activa 7G will be a significant launch to meet the rising expectations of Indian customers and maintain its strong foothold in the scooter market.
