The Honda Activa 125 H-Smart variant features a 4.2-inch full-color TFT display that offers Bluetooth connectivity through Honda’s RoadSync app. Through this display, riders can access turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts, and music controls. A joystick is provided on the left-side switchgear to control the cluster’s functions. It also has a 3-level brightness setting.
On the other hand, the TVS Jupiter 125 SmartXonnect variant also has a color TFT cluster, but it is divided into two sections. It offers smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts, and music control, as well as features like voice assist, live news notifications, weather, and sports scores through the TVS app. This display also shows readouts such as Distance to Empty (DTE), average or instant mileage. This technology is like a smartphone – every feature is designed to make your life easier.
Convenience Features
The Honda Activa 125 H-Smart features keyless ignition and smart key fob functions such as SmartFind, SmartUnlock (unlocking the handlebar, fuel lid, and under-seat boot), and an immobilizer (which prevents the engine from starting if the original key is not used). Both scooters have an engine idle start-stop system and USB Type-C charging ports on the apron.
The TVS Jupiter 125 SmartXonnect has a follow-me headlamp that stays on for a set time after switching off, and a hazard light switch. This variant also gets a backrest for the pillion rider. The TVS scooter has a Jupiter-sized 33-liter under-seat storage compared to the Activa’s 18 liters. While both have external fuel filler caps, the Jupiter’s fuel filler cap is more convenient as it’s located on the apron. The Honda Activa’s fuel filler cap is located just above the taillight. Price and Value
The TVS Jupiter 125 SmartXonnect is priced at Rs 86,400, while the Activa H-Smart is priced at Rs 91,983 (both prices ex-showroom) – a difference of Rs 5,583. Both are feature-rich 125cc commuter scooters, but the TVS Jupiter 125 is more practical of the two due to its larger under-seat storage and fuel filler cap location. The 2025 Honda Activa 125 distinguishes itself with its keyless functionality. It’s a nice feature, but not as useful as the larger under-seat storage. Most importantly, it’s difficult to justify the premium for these techy features.
