If you are looking for a mid-size bike that has the perfect combination of style, power and comfort, the Benelli Leoncino 500 may be the perfect choice for you. The bike already has a good grip in the Indian market, due to its retro-scrambler design, strong build quality and smooth 500cc engine. As the name ‘Leoncino’ (which in Italian means ‘lion’s child’) suggests, this bike has the same aggresson and classic attitude that makes it different from the other 500cc option.

Price

The initial EX-showroom price of the Benelli Leoncino 500 is ₹559,894. This price puts it in the mid-size premium motorcycle segment, where it competes with many popular hand-held competitors. At its cost, Benelli offers a variety of premium features, excellent build quality and powerful performance.

Engine

The Leoncino 500’s 500cc BS6 engine is its biggest strength. It generates power of 46.8 bhp and torque of 46 Nm, making it very responsive in both city and highway conditions. This parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox and is famous for its smooth ride quality. Even after the BS6 update, the engine’s power delivery is as strong as before, tuned to meet emission standards.

It reaches peak at 6,000 rpm, giving the bike the best throttle response in the low-mid range. Whether navigating in traffic or cruising at a speed of 100 kmph on the highway, this engine seems comfortable everywhere.

Design

The Benelli Leoncino 500 sets itself apart in terms of design. Its round LED headlamps, tier-drop style fuel tanks, tuck-and-roll seat design and classic scrambler approach create a retro-modern fusion. Pesaro’s small 3D Lion logo on the front fender shows its Italian heritage and gives it a premium touch. The 12.7-liter fuel tank, sleek body lines, and solid but balanced weight of 207 kg give it a strong and stable appearance on the road. The bike is available in two attractive color options, making it even more unique.

Performance

In terms of performance, the Leoncino 500 is the best. Its 500cc twin-cylinder engine supersedes a smooth ride in the city and a powerful ride on the highway. Although the 46.8 bhp power figures may not look much, the torque curve of the engine makes it quite aggressive and fun in real world riding. The bike runs on 17-inch alloy wheels, which provide excellent stability. The 50mm inverted front forks and rear monoshock provide a well-balanced suspension setup, which provides comfortable and controlled rides even on bad roads.
