Bajaj Chetak 3001 Launched : Bajaj Auto has expanded its popular electric scooter range with the launch of the Chetak 3001 in the Indian market. This model will replace the old Chetak 2903 and is a new update based on the company’s experience with the Chetak 35 series. Its ex-showroom price has been kept at ₹ 99,990, which makes it an affordable and feature-rich option in its segment.

All-new platform and battery layout

The Chetak 3001 is built on an all-new electric vehicle architecture. Its special feature is the 3.0 kWh battery fitted in the floorboard, which improves the balance of the scooter and makes it easier to drive due to the low center of gravity. Also, this design makes the floor wider and also provides 35 liters of storage space under the seat – which is the highest in this segment.

Range and charging speed are also strong

On a single full charge, the Chetak 3001 can cover a distance of about 127 km. This range is not only enough for everyday needs, but is also reliable for short trips. To charge it, the company has provided a 750 watt charger, which charges the battery from 0 to 80% in just 3 hours and 50 minutes. This charging time is considered fast in this segment.

Advanced technology equipped with Techpack features

An optional technology pack called “TecPac” will also be available with this scooter. It includes many smart features like – call receive or reject facility, music control, guide-me-home lights, hill hold assist, reverse mode with light and automatic flash light at the time of braking. All these features give it a premium touch and improve the rider’s experience.

Strong body and waterproof design

Chetak 3001 is still the only electric scooter that has a full metal body. Apart from this, it comes with IP67 rating, which keeps it safe from dust and water. This is especially useful for those who like to ride a scooter in every season.

Bajaj Chetak surprised everyone by becoming the best selling electric scooter in the fourth quarter of FY 2025 (January to March). Chetak 35 series (3501 and 3502) contributed a lot to this success.
