Utpanna Ekadashi 2025: A fast is observed on the Ekadashi Tithi of the Krishna Paksha and Shukla Paksha of every month. Utpanna Ekadashi falls in the month of Margashirsha. Observing the fast and worshipping on this day as per the prescribed rituals liberates one from all sins and brings happiness and peace to life.

According to belief, if specific Tulsi-related rules are not followed, Goddess Lakshmi may become angry during Utpanna Ekadashi. This can lead to various problems in life. Therefore, today we are going to tell you about some rules related to Tulsi on Utpanna Ekadashi.

Tulsi Fast Can Be Broken

According to religious beliefs, Tulsi is observed on Ekadashi Tithi. Consequently, it is forbidden to pour water on Tulsi and not pluck Tulsi leaves on Ekadashi. It is said that committing this mistake can anger Goddess Lakshmi and result in the complete loss of the fast.

Lack of Wealth

Goddess Lakshmi is believed to reside in a clean place, and therefore, special attention must be paid to cleanliness around the Tulsi plant on the day of Utpanna Ekadashi. It is said that if there is dirt near the Tulsi plant, Goddess Lakshmi does not reside in the home. This also leads to a lack of wealth in life.

It is also important to remember that the Tulsi plant should not be touched with dirty or unclean hands. According to belief, touching the plant with dirty or unclean hands brings inauspicious results and may also lead to negativity in life.
