CTET 2026 : The CTET 2026 examination announcement which the Central Board of Secondary Education made contains vital information about the examination. The board has postponed CTET Paper 2 at two exam centres due to technical and administrative issues. The examination will take place at a new time which candidates assigned to these centres must remember.
Current information exists about the situation
The CTET 2026 Paper 2 examination could not be conducted at two dedicated examination sites which are situated in the Vaishali district of Bihar. The question papers created problems because they did not arrive at the examination centres within the expected delivery period. The exam centers needed to close because the CBSE determined that this action would ensure fairness for all candidates.
• St John’s Academy, Basmati Nagar
• Lakshya International Academy
Only candidates who were allotted these centres are affected by this decision. All other examination centres completed their processes without facing any difficulties.
The CBSE has confirmed that the CTET Paper 2 re-examination will occur in affected centres within 15 days of the announcement. The upcoming announcement will reveal the specific examination date along with its time and shift information. The official CTET website will provide this information which may also be sent to candidates via SMS or email.
Candidates do not need to apply again. The board will provide updated instructions that allow them to take part in the re-exam.
CTET is a national level eligibility test for candidates who want to become teachers for classes 1 to 8. Paper 2 is meant for candidates who want to teach classes 6 to 8. The CTET qualification serves as the essential requirement for all teaching positions in government and private educational institutions.
The 2026 CTET examination took place at several testing locations across the nation which experienced high numbers of students who took both Paper 1 and Paper 2.
