CTET Exam 2026: Mandatory Documents for Feb 8 Exam; Important Update on Vaishali Re-Exam

CTET 2026 Guidelines: Today, February 8th, is the second day of the CTET 2026 examination. The CTET 2026 exam is being conducted in two shifts on the second day, February 8th. The first shift (Paper-2) exam will be held from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second shift (Paper-1) exam will be held from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

Earlier, CBSE successfully conducted the CTET February 2026 exam in two shifts on February 7th. More than 25 lakh candidates have registered to appear for the exam. Candidates can download their CTET 2026 admit card from the official website ctet.nic.in. The CTET 2026 admit card was released on February 5th. Strict security measures will be in place at the examination centres.

Dress Code Mistakes to Avoid:
Do not wear heavily embroidered clothes, large buttons, brooches, or full-sleeved shirts.
Do not wear earrings, rings, nose rings, or necklaces. These were removed at several centres on February 7th, leading to wasted time.
Wear sandals or slippers instead of shoes. Shoes with thick soles are not allowed.

What to Carry and What Not to Carry:

It is mandatory to carry your CTET admit card.
Aadhaar card or any government-issued photo ID (original).
Black or blue transparent ballpoint pen.
Two passport-size photographs.

What Not to Carry:
Mobile phones, digital watches, wallets, belts, pieces of paper, and pencil boxes are not allowed.

The CBSE CTET 2026 Shift 1 exam for Paper-2 has started at 9:30 AM. This exam will be conducted for 2.5 hours, ending at 12 PM. The CTET February 2026 exam is being conducted in two shifts today, February 8th. This year, 25,30,436 candidates have registered for CTET.

CTET Paper 2 Postponed

Information from CBSE HQ

The post stated that, out of 1803 CTET examination centers across the country, Paper-2 was successfully conducted at 1801 centres. However, due to some unavoidable circumstances, the Paper-2 examination could not be conducted at 02 centres in Vaishali (Hajipur) (125016 – St. John’s Academy, Basmati Nagar and 125014 – Lakshya International Academy). The re-examination for the candidates allotted to these 02 centers will be conducted within 15 days. The revised examination schedule will be communicated to the concerned candidates separately. We regret the inconvenience caused to these candidates.
