CTET 2026 Exam Day Rules for Paper 1 and Paper 2 : The Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2026 is being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education for candidates who want to become teachers for classes 1 to 8. The examination consists of two parts Paper 1 and Paper 2 which are conducted through an offline format that requires OMR sheet usage. Reporting and entry rules

All candidates need to arrive at the examination center before the time which appears on their admission ticket. The examination center does not permit candidates who arrive after the scheduled time to enter. Candidates must complete all required verification procedures before they may enter the examination center.

The candidates must present both their CTET admit card and valid photo identification document. The examination hall prohibits entry for candidates who lack the necessary identification documents.

OMR sheet and pen rules

The CTET 2026 examination uses OMR technology for its testing process. The candidates must use the OMR sheet which the exam center provides to record their responses.

• Only blue or black ballpoint pens are allowed
• Candidates must bring their own pen
• The OMR sheet prohibits pencil usage for marking
• The OMR sheet will be turned down if any candidate uses a pencil to mark their answers
• The OMR sheet process prohibits the usage of both erasers and whiteout materials along with any method of overwriting.

The candidates need to completely fill the circles on the OMR sheet while avoiding any additional markings.

Items not allowed inside exam hall

Candidates are not allowed to carry the following items inside the exam hall:

• Pencil, eraser, scale, geometry box
• Mobile phone, smart watch, Bluetooth device
• Calculator or any electronic gadget
• Books, notes, papers, or study material
• Bags, wallets, food items, or jewellery

Important instructions during exam

The candidates must listen to the directions which the invigilator provides. The candidates must wait until the announcement occurs before they begin marking answers. The establishment of any dishonest activities or the violation of any established rules will result in a candidate’s disqualification from the examination process.
