CTET 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) today at various examination centers across the country. Millions of candidates are appearing for this exam. The CTET exam is being conducted in two shifts. Paper-2 is being held in the morning shift and Paper-1 in the afternoon shift. Strict security arrangements have also been made at the centers during the examination. According to reports, a commotion broke out at a center in Vaishali, Bihar, during the CTET exam. The question papers arrived an hour late, causing distress among the candidates and leading to unrest at the center.

When will the CTET result be released?
The CTET provisional answer key is expected to be released within 10-15 days of the exam (by the third week of February). Candidates will then have 2-3 days to raise objections to the answer key. The CTET result is expected to be released in the first or second week of March 2026.

When will the CTET answer key be released?
The CTET 2026 exam will be conducted on February 7th and 8th. The provisional answer key will be released after the exam is completed. Candidates will start waiting for the answer key as soon as the exam is over. The CTET provisional answer key is released within 10-15 days of the exam (by the third week of February). Candidates will have 2-3 days to raise objections to the answer key.
The exam will be conducted in two shifts:
First Shift: 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM
Second Shift: 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM
The admit card is the most important document on the day of the exam. Along with the admit card, carry a government-issued photo ID. Candidates are also advised to carefully read the instructions given on the admit card.

What to carry to the exam center?
Candidates appearing for the CTET exam can carry only a few items into the examination centre. These include the original admit card, original photo ID proof, a blue or black ballpoint pen, and a transparent water bottle with a capacity of half a litre.
2. Candidates will not be allowed inside the centre without the original admit card and original photo ID proof.
3. Candidates can carry any one of the following as their photo ID proof: PAN card, Aadhaar card, passport, driving license, or voter ID card.
