Now, with the help of this app, users can manage their digital identity, perform offline Aadhaar verification, and update important information like their mobile number or address from the comfort of their homes. There will be no need to visit an enrollment center as before. This facility is especially helpful for those whose old mobile number is no longer active or who were facing difficulties in updating their new number.

How to update your mobile number

Go to the ‘Services’ section on the home screen and select the ‘Update Mobile Number’ option. Your current number will be displayed on the screen. Enter your new number and complete the OTP verification. After this, the update request will be submitted to UIDAI.

When is it necessary to visit an Aadhaar center?

While mobile number and address can be updated in the app, visiting an enrollment center is still mandatory for biometric changes (fingerprint or iris) and changes to the date of birth. According to UIDAI, facilities for other demographic changes will also be added to the app in the future.
