Aadhaar App– How to Update Mobile Number and Address? Cost is Rs 75 only

Aadhaar App: The new Aadhaar app from UIDAI has really stepped up the user experience by making it more secure digitally. With the redesign, all the old settings are now part of the new Services tab. Plus, face authentication is now a top priority with this update.

Registration process in the new Aadhaar app

Even though the app looks different, the registration process is still the same. After you download the app, new users will need to input their Aadhaar number, verify their mobile number, and go through face authentication. Once that’s done, they can start using the app by setting up a PIN.

How to update mobile number in the new Aadhaar app?

In the updated app, the option to change your mobile number has been relocated to the Services tab. Users can enter their new number and submit a request for an update after verifying with an OTP and face authentication. This whole process takes about 15 days and costs Rs 75.

How to update your address?

You can also update your address in the Services tab. There are two ways to do this: first, by using an electricity bill or other valid documents, and second, by using a family member’s Aadhaar card. In both scenarios, the request is sent to UIDAI after face authentication and payment.

Address update from Aadhaar of family member

If you want to update your address using a family member’s Aadhaar card, you’ll need to provide that person’s Aadhaar number. Face authentication and payment are required to finish the address update process.

Easy way to lock biometrics

This is an important security feature. In the new app, you can find it on the home page labeled “Biometrics Unlocked,” right below your QR code. Just click on it, and you can lock your fingerprint and iris data with a single tap, reducing the risk of cloning or fraud.
