Third Randomisation for 2025-26 Completed

According to official information released by the department, the third randomisation process for the financial year 2025-26 has been completed. In this phase, 154 farmers have been selected for a total of 9 types of modern sugarcane farming implements. The selection process was conducted in a completely transparent manner to ensure that the benefits of the scheme reach the deserving farmers.

Subsidies Available on These Modern Implements

The scheme includes agricultural implements that make sugarcane farming easier and more efficient. Modern machines are being provided for tasks such as field preparation, weeding, levelling, ratoon management, and crop protection. The government is providing a subsidy of 50 to 60 percent on these implements, which significantly reduces the initial cost for farmers.

How the Purchase Process Will Be Completed

Selected farmers have been issued approval letters by the department. Based on this letter, farmers can purchase the machines from authorised vendors listed on the SuMech portal. The farmer will have to pay the full amount initially. After this, departmental verification of the purchase and use of the implement will be conducted. Once the verification is complete, the fixed amount of the subsidy will be directly transferred to the farmer’s bank account through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).

Approval Letter Valid Only Until January 18, 2026

The Sugarcane Industry Department has also clarified that the approval letter will be valid only until January 18, 2026. If the machine is not purchased within this stipulated time frame, the farmer may be deprived of the benefits of the scheme. Therefore, selected farmers are advised to complete the entire process promptly.

Farming will become easier, and production will increase

This scheme will reduce the workload of farmers and enable them to cultivate using more scientific methods. The use of modern equipment will save time, improve crop management, and reduce production costs. The government believes that this will make sugarcane farming more organised and profitable, which will directly impact farmers’ income.
