Mohammed Siraj into the team again
Mohammed Siraj may soon return to India’s ODI team, and this seems to be hinted at in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Siraj has been included in the Hyderabad squad ahead of the fifth round of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The fifth round begins on January 3rd, in which Siraj will be seen playing.
Tilak Varma, who will captain Hyderabad, will also play in this match. Hyderabad will play a match against Chandigarh on January 3rd. Tilak Varma will replace CV Milind, who was captaining in his absence.
It is believed that Siraj will also play in the match against Jammu and Kashmir on January 8th. Siraj’s participation in two Vijay Hazare Trophy matches indicates that he could make a comeback to the ODI team. Siraj last played an ODI on October 25th last year against Australia in Sydney. After that, he didn’t get a chance in the South Africa ODI series. Siraj was also not selected for the Champions Trophy.
This player’s ODI record is impressive. He has taken 73 wickets in 46 innings, with a best of 6 for 21. Not just Mohammed Siraj and Tilak Varma, three other prominent players will also be participating in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Tamil Nadu will feature Washington Sundar and Varun Chakravarthy, while Punjab will feature Shubman Gill. This will be Gill’s first match since being dropped from Team India for the T20 World Cup. Punjab’s match is against Sikkim, where Gill will be expected to score big.
