New Delhi: The wait for farmers covered under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is about to end. The central government is expected to release the 22nd instalment of ₹2,000 under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana today, Friday, sparking excitement among farmers.
The government will disburse funds to approximately 93.2 million farmers in the 22nd instalment, for which ₹18,630 crore has been approved. PM Narendra Modi will personally release this instalment of DBTT from Guwahati, the capital of Assam. Narendra Modi will address a public rally there, and preparations are underway. This event will prove to be a valuable milestone ahead of the upcoming Assam Assembly elections.

Agriculture Minister Provides Important Information
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has provided information about the release of the insinstalmente said that this decision demonstrates the central government’s strong commitment to farmers.
He stated that after the release of the 22nd instalment, the total amount transferred to farmers under this scheme will exceed ₹4.27 lakh crore. Chouhan stated that since the scheme’s launch in 2019, more than ₹4.09 lakh crore has been directly transferred to the bank accounts of eligible farmer families.

How much money is received annually?
Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, financial assistance of ₹6,000 is provided annually in three instalments of ₹ 2,000 each. This amount is transferred directly to farmers’ bank accounts in three equal instalments. An Agriculture Minister stated that more than 2.15 crore women farmers will also receive financial assistance under the 22nd instalment. With this money, farmers can purchase essential farming supplies such as seeds, fertilisers, and pesticides.
Financial support for the needy
According to Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, this scheme strengthens the economic condition of rural families and also promotes women’s empowerment in villages. He appealed to farmers across the country—particularly those in Assam and other states—to visit the PM-KISAN portal to check their status and complete the e-KYC process as soon as possible.
