SSC JE 2025 Big Update. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued a major update for candidates preparing for the Junior Engineer (JE) Exam 2025. The Commission has released city intimation slips for candidates who completed self-slot booking in the first phase. Candidates who did not select their exam date and city during the first slot booking window that opened in November have now been given another opportunity.

According to the latest SSC update, candidates can select their preferred slot until November 28, 2025. Failure to complete this process within the stipulated time will result in their admit card not being issued. Here’s an important update.

City Intimation Slips Available for Download

The SSC has released city slips for candidates who self-booked slots between November 10 and 13, 2025. Candidates can download their exam city slips immediately by logging in to ssc.gov.in with their registration number and password. This slip provides them with preliminary details related to the exam city and exam centre.

Last Chance for Slot Booking

Candidates who did not book slots in the first phase can now self-select slots until November 28th. In this process, candidates will be shown the available slots and shifts based on the three exam cities selected at the time of application. They can select the available date and shift as per their convenience.

SSC has clearly stated that slot booking is mandatory; otherwise, admit cards will not be generated for candidates.

Admit Cards to be Released on November 30th

Admit cards for the Junior Engineer Examination (Paper-I) 2025 will be released on November 30th, 2025. Candidates will receive them online only. The Commission will not send admit cards to any candidate by post or other means. Therefore, candidates are advised to log in to the SSC’s official website with their credentials and download the admit card in time.

When will the SSC JE Exam be held?

According to the schedule released by the SSC, the JE (Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical) Paper-I exam will be held between December 3 and December 6, 2025, at exam centres across the country. The exam will be conducted in computer-based mode.

How to Self-Book a Slot?

Candidates can easily book slots by logging in to the SSC portal. The process is as follows:

  • Visit the official SSC website and log in.
  • Click on the ‘Self-Slot Booking’ option.
  • Available slots will be displayed based on the three cities you selected during your application.
  • Select the date, city, and shift of your choice.
  • Confirm your selection and complete the process.

How many positions will be filled?

A total of 1,340 positions will be filled through the SSC JE Recruitment 2025. Candidates with expertise in civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering will be recruited for junior engineer positions in various government departments through this exam.
