The two match Test series is about to end where India performed poorly in all departments in compare to South Africa who outclassed them. Now, things will soon heat up for an ODI series between these two teams.
India and South Africa will next face each other in a three-match ODI series. This will see two legendary cricketers, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who have retired from T20 International and Test cricket, in action. Both players previously performed brilliantly in the ODI series against Australia.
Rohit received the Player of the Series award, while Virat, after being dismissed for ducks in two consecutive matches, won hearts with a brilliant unbeaten 74 in the third match. However, the Indian team lost the series 2-1. After the series, Kohli left for England, where he has lived with his family for many years.
Kohli arrived in Mumbai on November 25 to prepare for the ODI series against South Africa, which begins on November 30. He was never seen so happy at the airport before. He stepped out of his car to pose for photos with fans, a bright smile on his face. The BCCI has announced the 15-member Indian squad for this ODI series. Several major changes have been made. Captain Shubman Gill and vice-captain Shreyas Iyer have been ruled out due to injury. KL Rahul will take over as captain in their place.
