Display Design and Durability
The Mate X7 features a dual-display setup, which further strengthens its identity among premium foldables. 8-inch foldable OLED display (2416×2210 pixels) on the inside and 6.49-inch curved OLED screen (2444 ×1080 pixels) on the outside. Both displays support 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, making scrolling, gaming, and app switching extremely smooth.
Huawei has set new standards in terms of brightness. Outer screen goes up to 3000 nits and inner screen 2500 nits. The second-generation Xuanwu-tempered Kunlun Glass is found in Color’s Edition, which increases the durability manifold.
Performance
Mate powers X7 Huawei’s new Kirin 9030 Pro chipset, which provides tremendous improvements in AI capability, performance and battery efficiency. The phone runs on HarmonyOS 6, which includes features such as AI note-taking, encrypted sharing, dynamic windows and foldable-friendly multitasking.

Xuanwu Hinge
The Mate X7 features the new Xuanwu folding architecture, which utilizes a tri-layer composite body and a reinforced water-drop hinge. This hinge is made from rocket-grade steel, significantly increasing durability. The phone measures 9.5mm thick when folded and just 4.5mm thick when opened. Weighs approximately 235–236 grams.
