CTET 2026 Exam Date
CBSE has already released the CTET exam date.
- CTET Paper 1 (for classes 1–5)
- CTET Paper 2 (for classes 6–8)
Both papers will be held on February 8, 2026. Now, candidates are just waiting for the official notification, which will mention the registration dates, exam cities, and other important details.
CTET 2026 Eligibility: Who can apply?
Separate eligibility criteria have been set for Paper 1 and Paper 2 to apply for CTET.
- Paper 1 Eligibility (to become a teacher for classes 1 to 5)
- Passing 12th grade with 50% marks is required.
- Also, completing a 2-year D.El.Ed or equivalent course is required.
- In some states, graduation + B.Ed is also recognised, but details will be provided in the notification.
Paper 2 Eligibility (for classes 6 to 8)
- Graduation from a recognised university.
- Along with this, it is necessary to have passed a prescribed professional degree like a 2-year D.El.Ed. o B.Ed.

CTET 2026 Application Process: How to fill the online form
The form-filling process will be completely online. The steps to apply are as follows:
- First, visit the official CTET website, ctet.nic.in.
- Click on the Apply Online for CTET February 2026 link available on the homepage.
- Complete the registration process by entering your basic information.
- and log in with your user ID and password.
- Enter your educational qualifications, personal information, and other details.
- Upload your scanned photo and signature.
- Pay the application fee according to your category and paper.
- Submit the form and save the printout of the last page.

Application Fee: How much will the CTET 2026 fee be?
CBSE has indicated that the fee structure will remain the same:
- General/OBC Candidates
- Paper 1 only: ₹1000
- Both Papers: ₹1200
- SC/ST/Divyang Candidates
- Paper 1 only: ₹500
- Both Papers: ₹600
Forms submitted without the fee will not be accepted and will be automatically rejected.
