For those candidates who are currently preparing for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) July 2025, the notification for the CTET exam is going to be released soon by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Due to this, the candidates have to keep visiting the official website regularly. Let us tell you that CBSE conducts the CTET exam twice a year – in July and December.

It is being reported in the news, the candidates preparing for the TET exam will get a chance to apply after the release of the July notification (CBSE CTET 2025 Notification). In such a situation, it is expected that the board can start the application process by issuing the notification soon. The notification will be released on the official website ctet.nic.in.

CTET 2025: Eligibility requirements for application

Let us tell you that there are two papers in the CTET exam. Candidates can apply as per their qualifications.

CTET Paper 1 – To participate, it is mandatory to have passed a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or its equivalent with 50% marks in 12th class. However, in some cases, the candidate must have passed B.Ed with a graduation degree. Candidates who qualify in Paper 1 are eligible to participate in teacher recruitment for classes 1 to 5.

CTET Paper 2 – (Class 6 to 8), candidates must have passed a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or its equivalent with a graduation degree. On achieving the prescribed cutoff marks in the Paper 2 exam, one becomes eligible to participate in teacher recruitment for classes 6 to 8.

CBSE CTET 2025: Application Fee

Candidates thinking of applying for the CTET exam will have to pay different fees according to the paper and category, due to which Rs 1000 will have to be deposited for applying for only 1 paper and Rs 1200 for applying for both papers. However, SC, ST, and Divyang candidates will have to pay Rs 500 for one paper and Rs 600 for applying for both papers through the online medium.

How to apply for CBSE CTET 2025

  • To fill the CTET exam application form, you first have to visit the official website ctet.nic.in.
  • After this, you have to first register by clicking on the registration link and filling in the required details.
  • Now you have to complete the form by filling other details.
  • Signature and photograph have to be uploaded.
  • Finally, the prescribed fee has to be deposited according to the paper and category.
  • Finally, after submitting the form, take a printout of it and keep it safe.

CBSE CTET 2025: Exam Pattern

The duration of the CTET exam will be 2.5 hours (150 minutes), during which 150 questions will be asked. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) with 4 options, in which only 1 will be the correct option
