Why Rinku Singh meets with the Chief Minister
Indian cricket team batsman and international player Rinku Singh paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today at the Chief Minister’s residence office in the capital, Raipur . The Chief Minister welcomed Rinku Singh by presenting him with a shawl and a Nandi symbol. MLA Mr. Sushant Shukla was also present on the occasion. Chief Minister Sai congratulated and wished Rinku Singh for his outstanding performance and his significant contribution to the Indian cricket team.
During the meeting, Chhattisgarh’s rich culture and traditions, and the efforts being made to promote sports in the state, were discussed in detail. Chief Minister Sai briefed Rinku Singh on the concept of the Bastar Olympics and the potential it offers to nurture local talent. He said that the youth of Chhattisgarh have immense potential and the state government is continuously striving to promote sports.
During the conversation, Rinku Singh expressed positive sentiments about the potential of sports in Chhattisgarh and said that the state has no shortage of talent. During the meeting, the Chief Minister briefed Rinku Singh on the Bastar Olympics and explained that this event is bringing talent from rural and tribal areas to the forefront. He added that the state government is continuously working to strengthen the sports infrastructure and provide better training to youth.
After the discussion, Rinku Singh said that the sports policies of Chhattisgarh can become an ideal model for the country and in future he wishes to share training or experience with the players here.
