New Delhi: On Friday, the day after Nitish Kumar’s swearing-in, the portfolios of the 18 ministers appointed to the cabinet were also allocated. Some ministers are still awaiting their portfolios. This time, the most important Home portfolio in the new cabinet has been assigned to Samrat Chaudhary, who was sworn in as Deputy CM.

Samarth Chaudhary, who comes from the BJP quota, will be seen handling law and order and internal security in Nitish Kumar 10.0. This is the first time in Nitish Kumar’s 20-year rule that he has not held these portfolios. On Thursday, 24 cabinet ministers were sworn in alongside Nitish Kumar at Gandhi Maidan in Patna.

Currently, 18 ministers have been assigned portfolios. Senior leader Ramkripal Yadav, also from the BJP quota, has been given the Agriculture Department. You can find out which minister has which portfolio below.

In Bihar, 18 cabinet ministers have been assigned portfolios. Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha has been given the Land and Revenue Department, in addition to the Mines and Geology Department. Mangal Pandey has been assigned the Health and Law portfolios. Dilip Jaiswal has been appointed Industry Minister.

Nitin Naveen has been given the responsibility of the Urban Development and Housing Department, along with the Printing Department. Ramkripal Yadav has been appointed Agriculture Minister. Sanjay Tiger has been appointed Minister of Labour Resources. Arun Shankar Prasad has been appointed Minister of Tourism, along with the Arts, Culture, and Youth Department.

What portfolios did these ministers receive?

Surendra Mehta has been assigned to the Animal and Fisheries Department. Narayan Prasad has been assigned to the Disaster Management Department. Rama Nishad has been assigned the Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department. Lakhendra Paswan has also been assigned the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Welfare Department.

Shreyasi Singh has been assigned to the Information Technology Department as well as the Sports Department. Pramod Chandravanshi has been assigned the Cooperatives and Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Departments. The Sugarcane Industry Department and the Public Health Engineering Department have been assigned to the LJPR quota. The Minor Water Resources Department has been assigned to the HAM quota. Santosh Suman’s portfolio has not changed; he will again be the Minister of Minor Water Resources. Deepak Prakash has been appointed Minister of Panchayati Raj.
