The Governor will administer the oath of office and secrecy to Nitish Kumar at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Arrangements have also been made for the swearing-in of several ministers alongside him. Politicians and the administration have been working for days to ensure Nitish Kumar’s swearing-in ceremony is historic. A heavy police force has been deployed to ensure security and control the crowd.
Joint teams of the SPG, NSG, and Bihar Police have made elaborate security arrangements at the ground and surrounding areas. In view of the expected crowd of thousands, separate exit routes have also been designated.
Seating arrangements for over 100,000 people have been made at the venue. Police will only allow people inside after conducting a thorough search. Today, for the first time, PM Narendra Modi will attend the swearing-in ceremony at Gandhi Maidan. This ground has witnessed many significant historical events.
Two Deputy CMs May Also Take Oath
Two leaders may also take an oath as Deputy CMs in Nitish Kumar’s new government. Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha are considered certain to be appointed Deputy CMs. In addition, more than 18 ministers are expected to be sworn in.
For information, it’s worth noting that the NDA performed exceptionally well, winning 202 seats. The BJP also won 89 seats, while the JDU performed well, winning 85 seats.
