What ingredients are required to make Green Mirch Garlic Pickle?

Green chillies – 100 grams

Mustard oil – 1/2 cup

Garlic – 50 grams

Rice/yellow mustard seeds – 2 teaspoons

Coriander seeds – 1 teaspoon

Fennel seeds – 1 teaspoon

Cumin seeds – 1/2 teaspoon

Fenugreek seeds – 1/2 teaspoon

Celery seeds – 1/2 teaspoon

Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon

Salt – to taste

Red chilli powder – 1 teaspoon

Nigella seeds – 1/2 teaspoon

Vinegar – 2 teaspoons

Hing – a pinch

How is Green Mirch Garlic Pickle made?

Prepare the seasoning

First, add mustard seeds, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, and celery seeds to a pan and lightly roast them over low heat until fragrant. Let them cool and grind them in a mixer.

Heat the oil

Now heat the mustard oil until it begins to smoke. Turn off the heat and let it cool slightly.

Mix the pickle

Now you have to take chopped green chillies and garlic in a big vessel, then add coarsely ground spices, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, nigella seeds, salt and asafoetida and mix well.

Add the tempering

When the oil becomes lukewarm, add all the spices and chilli garlic mixture into it and mix well immediately.

Add vinegar

To keep Hari Mirch Lehsun Ka Achar for a long time, you can add vinegar to it.
