Toll Tax Update: Today, the Central Government has given a big relief to vehicles plying on the National Highway. Actually, from today onwards, a special rule has been implemented by the government. Under this rule, vehicles running without Fastag will not have to pay double toll tax if they make a digital payment at toll plazas. The toll rates have been fixed by the government. By paying 25 percent more toll, the vehicle will be able to move ahead.

Know how much toll tax to pay

Let us tell you that the government has decided that the fixed FASTag for any vehicle will be only Rs 100. Toll payment has to be Rs 200 for cash payment and Rs 125 for payment through UPI. Yes, under the rules implemented from today, you will not be charged double toll if you do not have a Fastag or if your balance is less. Instead, if drivers make payment through UPI or any other digital mode, then they will have to pay only 1.25 times the toll tax.

There will be three options in the new rules

According to the new rule, in case of a technical glitch in Fastag or if it is not available, the drivers will have 3 options. They can make a payment through Fastag at the normal rate. You can pay double toll for cash payment. Or you can pay 1.25 times the toll price using digital payment.
