Bihar Election Result 2025 Date and Time: Counting of votes for the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections is scheduled to begin at 8 am on November 14th. All eyes are on the Bihar election results. The first trends are expected at 8:30 am, and the picture is expected to be clear by noon. The Bihar results will determine the political and social future of many leaders. The fate of all candidates is locked in EVMs, and now the entire state is focused on the vote count. Exit polls released before the results predict a strong NDA lead. According to several survey agencies, a Nitish Kumar-led NDA government could be formed in Bihar once again. However, opposition parties are vehemently refusing to accept these survey results.
This time, the method of counting postal ballots has also changed, so that postal votes will be included before the final two rounds of counting. All results are expected to be declared by evening.
The state recorded a total voter turnout of 66.91% this time, with 62.8% male voters and 71.6% female voters casting their votes. The Election Commission stated that this is the highest voter turnout since 1951. Voting took place in 121 seats in the first phase and 122 seats in the second phase. Out of 45,399 polling stations, data from approximately 2,000 are still pending. Districts like Katihar (78.39%), Kishanganj (77.91%), and Purnia (75.87%) recorded voter turnout of over 70%.
This election also received international monitoring. Sixteen representatives from six countries visited Bihar under the International Election Visitors Program to observe the election process and described it as an internationally organised, transparent, and efficient election.
Who holds the keys?
You may be surprised to learn that the Returning Officer holds one key, while the Assistant Officer holds the other. Representatives of all major political parties and Election Commission observers are present when the strong room is sealed. Political parties are also permitted to use their election symbol as a seal upon written application.
