SAIL Vacancy 2025: Position Details
A total of 124 positions will be filled under this recruitment drive. Seats are reserved for various categories.
- Unreserved (UR): 124 positions
- OBC (NCL): 31 positions
- SC: 22 positions
- ST: 18 positions
- EWS: 18 positions
This recruitment process is for the Management Trainee (Technical) position, which includes positions in Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, and Metallurgical fields.
SAIL Management Trainee Qualification 2025
Candidates for these positions must have an engineering degree from a recognised university with at least 65% marks.
The qualifying subjects are:
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Computer Science/IT
- Electrical Engineering
- Instrumentation Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering

Salary and Training Structure
- Selected candidates will receive a basic salary of ₹50,000 per month during the one-year training period.
- After completing the training, candidates will be promoted to the position of Assistant Manager.
- Their basic salary will then range from ₹60,000 to ₹1,80,000 per month.
- In addition to salary, candidates will also receive DA, HRA, medical benefits, and other benefits.

Candidates will be selected in four stages.

- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
Successful candidates will be included in the final selection list based on merit.
