NR Apprentice Recruitment 2025. There’s good news for candidates preparing for government jobs within the Railways. Northern Railway has released a major notification for apprenticeship recruitment for the 2025-26 session. This recruitment is offering a total of 4,116 positions, for which 10th-grade and ITI-passed candidates across the country can apply. This is considered a golden opportunity for candidates dreaming of a career in the Railways. Online applications will be accepted from November 25, 2025, to December 24, 2025.

Eligibility for Application
To apply for this recruitment, candidates must possess certain essential qualifications. Candidates must have passed the 10th grade and must have at least 50% marks.
Additionally, an NCVT or SCVT-accredited ITI certificate in the relevant trade is required. This recruitment is entirely skill-based, so ITI trade knowledge and practical skills will be given special consideration. Please note that candidates without ITI qualifications will not be eligible to apply.
Age Limit and Age Relaxation
The Railways have set minimum and maximum age limits.
- Minimum age: 15 years
- Maximum age: 24 years
- Age will be calculated as of December 24, 2025.
- Age relaxation will also be provided as per government regulations
- SC/ST candidates will be given 5 years,
- OBC candidates will be given 3 years,
while candidates with disabilities will receive additional relaxation.
Selection Process
Candidates will not be required to take any examination or interview for this recruitment. The merit list will be prepared by averaging their 10th and ITI marks.
If two candidates have equal marks, the older candidate will be given preference. Following this, all selected candidates will undergo document verification.
Application Fee and Stipend
The application fee for General and OBC candidates is ₹100. The application is completely free for SC, ST, PwBD, and female candidates.
Selected candidates will receive a stipend as prescribed under the Apprentice Act 1961 during the training period.
