Utpanna Ekadashi 2025: The Utpanna Ekadashi fast is considered very special in Hinduism. It is believed that observing the fast on this day absolves all sins. This Ekadashi is celebrated every year on the Ekadashi Tithi of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) of the month of Agahan. It is said that Ekadashi Mata was born on this day.
In 2025, Utpanna Ekadashi will be celebrated on November 15th. However, worshipping Tulsi Mata alongside Lord Vishnu on this day is considered especially significant. Today, we will share some special rituals related to Tulsi on Utpanna Ekadashi that will please both Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi.
Adorn Tulsi
On Utpanna Ekadashi, water should be offered to Tulsi Mata, and a red chunri along with sixteen adornments should be provided to her. It is believed that doing so pleases Goddess Lakshmi and brings her permanent presence in the home. Following this ritual also ensures a happy marriage.
Offer raw milk
Offering raw milk to Tulsi Mata on Utpanna Ekadashi is considered highly auspicious. After providing the milk, light a ghee lamp in front of the plant and chant the mantra Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay. Doing so creates the possibility of financial gain.
Try these remedies with Tulsi buds
If you are unable to store Paddaturr home, tie Tulsi buds in a red cloth and place them in a safe place on Utpanna Ekadashi. It is believed that doing so alleviates financial difficulties and increases the possibility of monetary gain.
Circumambulate the Tulsi plant
On Utpanna Ekadashi, one should take a bath early in the morning. After the puja, circumambulate the Tulsi plant seven times. While circumambulating, chant Jai Maa Lakshmi and Jai Shri Hari. Afterwards, a red thread around the Tulsi stem. This remedy removes all troubles and obstacles.
